This standard provides parameters that are very important in the operation of a biomass boiler, including ash percentage, moisture content, mechanical durability, energy content and ash melting point.<\/p>\n<p>Wood pellets are made by pressing wood\/scraps, which is firstly crushed by a hammer mill in order to obtain even mass. This mass is put into press, where it is squeezed through a shape containing required size holes (usually 6 mm in diameter, sometimes 8 mm or larger).
